Description
Knuckle Bones are Nature’s toothbrush for dogs as they support gum and dental health. These bones do not splinter or cause tooth breakage. They are sourced from grass fed beef cattle, cleaned by hand, boiled and roasted. They are never bleached or smoked. Natural color variation is normal. Sizes may vary.
Care Guidelines
- Knuckle bones may be washed with warm water only, no soap.
- Store in a cool, dry place. Knuckle bones can be frozen.
- If your dog is a first-time knuckle bone user, or an aggressive chewer, limit their time with the bone to 30-minute intervals. Excessive chewing could irritate the gums.
- Natural, non-splintering knuckle bone material is a digestible if consumed in small amounts. Limit chew time with aggressive chewer.
- Some dogs chew their knuckle bones less aggressively, and as entertainment more than a food item. If this describes your dog, then perhaps you can allow unlimited, unsupervised access to the knuckle bone.
- The knuckle bone will slowly grind down over time with chewing. When the bone becomes small enough to swallow, dispose of it securely and get a new one! Your dog will love you for it!
